Our Student Ministries is prayerfully, diligently, and passionately striving to help all students Meet Jesus. Know Jesus. Follow Jesus.

As we get to be a part of that journey for students, we believe in holistic ministry where students have the opportunity to Experience Healthy Community, are Deeply Rooted in God's Word, Experience God through Worship & Prayer and Learn to Live Beyond Themselves.

We believe when students actively engage in holistic ministry and invite their friends as well, God will move & change lives!

Grow Groups

Sunday Mornings: High School 9 AM & Middle School 10:30 AM

Our goal is that students are deeply rooted in God's Word. Through "The Thread" curriculum, students will learn the big picture of Scripture from OT to NT and learn what the Gospel is and how it literally courses throughout the narrative of Scripture.

Meets at specific times through the year

Our Bible quizzing team is an awesome ministry of First Church and challenges our students to not only memorize scripture but learn what it means to truly hide God's word in our hearts. Click the button below for more info on our Bible Quizzing team.

Connect Groups

Sunday Evenings: 5:45-7:45 PM in homes

This home-based ministry stems from the concept of the early church in Acts 2:42-47. Our goal is for students to experience life together in healthy community & to learn to live beyond themselves. Each grade will have a connect group where leaders and students eat together, play together, pray together, and dive into God's Word together.

Unite Nights

Sunday Nights: 6 - 7:30 PM at the church once a month

Students will unite at the church 1-2 times a month. HS and MS will be at the church on different evenings. Our goal is that students experience God through worship & prayer (and of course play some crazy games too!). We are one body who get to laugh together, worship together, and grow together!

Serve

Students will have the opportunity to serve through:

  • Serving the church through the Vibe team, Worship Team, Children's Ministry, and Facilities Team.
  • Invitation of friends into connect groups and into the church.
  • Serving outside the church in Whitley County and beyond.
